Nasiru Abdulmajid, the commissioner of police in Borno, has assured News Central TV of maximum security ahead of a town hall meeting scheduled to be held in Maiduguri, the state capital, on June 19.

The police commissioner gave the assurance when he received Kayode Akintemi, managing director and editor-in-chief of News Central, and a team of senior staff members of the media outfit during a courtesy visit to him in Maiduguri on Tuesday.

According to a press statement issued at the end of the visit, Abdulmajid said the police command is fully committed to supporting the initiative.

He added that a strong relationship between the media and law enforcement agencies is critical to building trust, promoting transparency, and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
