Its good news for Chelsea as Arsenal stunned Manchester City with a shock victory at the Etihad in the Barclays Premier League (BPL).
The champions were strong favourites to take all three points and keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea but the Gunners had other ideas as a goal in each half stepped up their bid for a top four finish and a place in the Champions League next season.
Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla scored Arsenal’s first midway through the first half with a penalty after City’s captain Vincent Kompany had fouled Nacho Monreal.
Cazorla was also involved in the Gunner’s second in the 67th minute as his free-kick was headed home from close range by Olivier Giroud to secure the points.

The defeat, which ends a run of 12 unbeaten games, leaves City five points behind Chelsea while Arsenal climbed to fifth, one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United but 13 points adrift of the Blues.
At Upton Park, West Ham got back to winning ways with a relatively comfortable 3-0 win against relegation candidates Hull City.
It was the Hammers’ sixth home win in a row against the Tigers and saw a much needed clean sheet for Sam Allardyce’s men.

arsenal is a great team that will rise to the occasion when it matter most. But the performance should not be an excuse for wenger not to buy players for us.
