Reuben Abati, special adviser on media and publicity to Goodluck Jonathan, former president, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
A source at the commission confirmed to TheCable that the former chairman of the editorial board of TheGuardian was arrested on Monday in connection to the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal for which Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser, has been in detention since 2015.
Dasuki is facing 22-count charges of money laundering and criminal breach of trust brought against him by the EFCC.
