Boko Haram insurgents are currently killing residents of Gwoza, a community in Borno state.

According to a source who confirmed the development to TheCable, the sect, looking at the rate at which it was losing territories to security agents in recent times, decided to embark on mass killings.

“They just decided to be slaughtering people who are in their captivity,” the source said.

“They said they would keep killing people until the soldiers arrive to take away the town from their control.”

Gwoza has been under the control of the sect since August 2014. Boko Haram declared the community as an Islamic caliphate weeks after the town was captured.

This is just insane. Our president is inept to understand and provide full security to our fellow citizens in the north. This just too much to bear.

Yes indeed our President is leaving you people to your own devices. He does not want to be accused of killing Northerners, while pretending to be fighting Boko Haram. Save your peoples from themselves.

But Jona took an oath to protect all and by the way he claimed to have been elected by the same people. Infact he is looking for their votes. So, if he left the South Easterners to save themselves why go their and seek their votes? Or are their votes more precious to Jona than their lives? Pls answer me..

The South Easterners and other Southern Nigerians do not constantly shed blood in silly endeavours. The country is really fed up with you people. Jonathan may need your votes, but you must learn to value your lives and the lives of others.
