President Muhammed Buhari will on Tuesday travel to London to see his doctor.

Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, disclosed this in a statement.

Shehu said the trip is expected to last four days.

According to Shehu, Buhari’s doctor had asked the president to return to London after the duo met in the city where the president had a “technical stopover” on his way from his meeting with President Donald Trump of US.

“The doctor requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do. President Buhari will return on Saturday, May 12th.

“On his return, the president’s two-day state visit to Jigawa, which was postponed because of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s Ward Congresses will now take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th May.”

In 2017, the president spent over 150 days in London, treating an undisclosed ailment.

There have been concerns over the health of the president who is seeking a second term in office but his supporters have said he is as fit as a fiddle.
