Less than a week after twin blasts (pictured above) killed more than 200 people in Jos, Plateau State, another explosion has occurred in the city.

A resident of the city told TheCable that the “deafening” explosion occurred at about 9:20pm.

“Someone informed me that it happened close to a viewing centre along Bauchi Road, around the temporary site of the University of Jos, where people were watching the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid,” he said.

” The explosion was so heavy that people living far away have been calling to find out where the ‘loud sound’ they heard came from.”
