The head office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Abuja recorded a fire outbreak on Friday.
Officials of the fire service are trying to put off the inferno.
The fire officials broke windows in the bid to gain access to some parts of the building.
When TheCable visited the scene at about 8am on Friday, smoke was seen billowing from the ground floor.
A witness said the incident happened around 6:30am.
“The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical fault,” the witness told TheCable.
The fire has been put under control.
