Ighalo’s dad dies ‘peacefully’

Odion Ighalo, Super Eagles striker, has lost his father.
Details of the death are still sketchy, but the distraught Watford of England strike briefly told TheCable that his father died “peacefully in his sleep early this morning”.
Ighalo later told ESPN: “A few days ago, he complained of weakness. He was taken to hospital for treatment. This morning, he died in his sleep.
“The season is almost over, and it might be a while before all the funeral arrangements are complete, so although I will continue to stay in close contact with my family over there, I will be here with my club until then.”

Ighalo’s Watford lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace on Sunday to miss out on a place in the FA cup final.
