Suspected hoodlums have set ablaze the head office of The Nation newspaper at Matori in Lagos.

Some vehicles inside the building located on Fatai Atere Way were also torched.

The suspects were said to have overpowered some policemen who were deployed to ward off any attack.

The development comes hours after the head office of Television Continental (TVC) was torched.

Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is believed to be the main target of the attacks.

The #EndSARS protest has been largely peaceful until the burning down of some police stations in Lagos on Tuesday.

At least five stations were set ablaze across the state on Tuesday while some persons were killed during a confrontation with security operatives.

There has been widespread violence across Lagos this week.

Earlier on Wednesday, the palace of the Oba of Lagos was raided but soldiers managed to evacuate him to safety.

However, suspected hoodlums ransacked the palace and took away items, including his staff of office.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, imposed a 24-hour curfew on Tuesday but the violence has continued.
