Ben Murray-Bruce, senator representing Bayelsa east, has asked the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to priotise the economy over its anti-graft war.

The current administration has established a reputation for fighting corruption, even though its critics have branded it selective.

Commenting on Twitter, the lawmaker said the corruption war might not achieve the intended result if it is carried out at the expense of the economy.

Bruce also lamented the threat of Erisco Foods to halt operations and lay off 1,500 workers as a result of the economic situation.
