President Muhammadu Buhari and his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, are in Ghana for an emergency extraordinary summit of ECOWAS leaders.

The summit was convened to discuss the recent political developments in Mali.

Mali’s interim President Bah N’Daw and Prime Minister Moctar Ouane were detained for three days by soldiers following a coup.

Jonathan had earlier visited the country where he met with key political actors and subsequently briefed Buhari about his trip on Friday.
