President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with service chiefs, Mansur Dan-Ali, minister of defence, and Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, behind closed doors.

The meeting presided over by the president was in progress as of the time of filing the report.

It is also being attended by Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS); Arab Yadam, the acting director of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) and a representative of the inspector-general of police.

The service chiefs at the meeting include Gabriel Olonisakin,  chief of defence staff; Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff; Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, chief of naval staff, and Sadique Abubakar, chief of air staff.
