President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with leaders of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The presidency disclosed this in a tweet on Friday.
The meeting which started at about 11:00am is holding at the banquet hall of the presidential villa, Abuja.
The meeting is being attended by vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, John Odigie-Oyegun, national chairman of the APC; and Ahmed Makarfi, caretaker chairman of the PDP.
Others in attendance are Muiz Banire, national legal adviser of the APC, Olorunnimbe Mamora, Tony Momoh, Ben Obi, and Ken Nnamani.
It was gathered that the meeting would focus on national issues particularly the problem of hate speech and the security situation in the country.
