Buhari signs bill establishing petroleum university
President Muhammadu Buhari has signed a bill establishing the university of petroleum resources, Effurun, Delta state.
Buhari said the signing of the bill into law is another demonstration of his government’s commitment to deliver its new vision for the Niger Delta region.
The president said his government’s new vision for the region would ensure that the people of the Niger Delta enjoy the wealth of their land.
He appealed to the people to continue to strive for peace through dialogue.
“Today I signed into law a bill establishing the University of petroleum resources, Effurun, Delta state,” Buhari said in a statement.
“This is yet another demonstration of our commitment to fully deliver our New Vision for the Niger Delta
“Our New Vision for the Niger Delta will ensure that the people of the region benefit from and enjoy the wealth of their land.
“I appeal to the communities in the region to continue to strive for peace through dialogue, to achieve conflict resolution.”
