President Muhammadu Buhari will pay a one-day working visit to Sokoto state on Saturday.
Imam Imam, spokesman of Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto, disclosed this in a statement.
Imam said the president will inaugurate a 500 unit housing estate, which the current administration built for civil servants.
“The president will use the occasion of the visit to witness the Durbar organised as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the appointment of Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar to the throne,” the statement said.
The events marking the historic anniversary have been going on since November 2.
On Thursday, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo declared open an international symposium on the Sokoto caliphate.
