President Muhammadu Buhari has promised not to rest until all the Chibok and Dapchi schoolgirls are released and reunited with their families.

He said this on Wednesday during a meeting with Ibrahim Gaidam, governor of Yobe state, and community leaders.

The meeting held at government house, Damaturu, the state capital.

At least 110 students were abducted from Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, on February 19.

Buhari is expected to meet with parents of the missing students.

When Rex Tillerson, outgoing US secretary of state, visited Nigeria earlier in the week, Buhari said his government was willing to negotiate the release of the girls.

The Musa Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram has been accused of being behind the abduction.
