Bayelsa Queens defeated ASKO FC of Togo 3-0 in their second Group B game of the WAFU B zonal qualifiers for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The 2024/25 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions outclassed the Togolese in the match held at the Stade du Lycée Scientifique in Côte d’Ivoire on Wednesday.
The Prosperity Girls had defeated Ghana’s Police Ladies in their first game of the competition. The team sits at the top of the group with six points from two games.
Bayelsa Queens struggled to get their scoring boots going against ASKO as the Togolese held them at bay throughout the first half.

However, immediately after the break, the deadlock was broken after Oumou Bani hoofed a clearance, and the ball trickled into her own net. The Queens went ahead and soon doubled the lead.
A counterattack started by Shakirat Moshood was made deadlier by Seimeyeha Akekoromowei, who dribbled into the byline before floating a cross into the box, and Alaba Olabiyi was present to head home the second.
Moshood wrapped up the victory with an excellent shot into the bottom corner late in the game.
