Rivers United
Rivers United have been drawn against RS Berkane of Morocco, Pyramid FC of Egypt and Zambia’s Power Dynamos in Group A of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League (CCL) campaign.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club knew their direct opponents in the competition at the draw held at SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday.
Rivers qualified for their first-ever appearance in the group stage of the premier CAF club competition after defeating Mozambique’s Black Bulls last month.
The club also became the first Nigerian side to reach the CAF Champions League group stages since 2019.

Rivers United are grouped with two of the favourite clubs to win the entire competition.
Pyramid FC are the defending champions of the CAF Champions League. They won their first-ever title after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 3-2 in last season’s final.
RS Berkane are the reigning champions of the CAF Confederation Cup. The club won three of the last six editions of the competition.

Power Dynamos are also debutants in the CAF Champions League group phase, and the first appearance by a Zambian club since 2020.
