Cameroon to host third Lake Chad governors forum

Cameroon has been announced as host of the Lake Chad governors forum.

This was disclosed by governor of extreme north, Cameroon,  Mijidiwaya Bakari, represented by Manga Titus at the ongoing meeting of the Lake Chad governors forum holding in Niamey, Niger.

The aim of the governors forum is to enhance joint efforts, coordination and regional ownership to resolve the crisis by promoting cross-border dialogue, cooperation and exchange, and to support ongoing national, regional and multilateral efforts towards stabilisation in the Lake Chad Basin (LCB).

Nigeria hosted the meeting in 2018.
