Manchester City starlet, Kelechi Iheanacho, is confident he will “add something” to the Super Eagles.

The forward earned his first senior call-up to the Nigeria squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Swaziland on Friday.

The youngster, who was a member of the team that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013, said he’s “honoured” to be deemed worthy to play for the senior team and has now spoken about his eagerness to help the side.

“I am happy to be with the (Super Eagles) and the players who are based in Europe,” he said.

“I play with experienced players at Manchester City so there will be no shyness and I will not feel that I am playing alongside players that are more experienced than me.

“I am full of confidence and I am sure I can add something to this team.”

Iheanacho has scored two goals – both against Crystal Palace – in the league and cup for City this season.
