The Prince Ebeano supermarket at Lokogoma district in Abuja has been razed by an overnight fire.

The fire, which started on Saturday night, was still on as of Sunday morning.

Fire fighters were at the supermarket on Sunday morning, battling to put out the fire.

Ibrahim Muhammad, public relations officer (PRO) of the federal capital territory fire service, in an interview with NAN on Sunday, said it isn’t yet known if there are casualties.

Muhammad said fire fighters from several service stations in Asokoro, Garki, Games Village and the National Judicial Institute in Abuja worked together to combat the “massive” fire.

According to him, the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.

“Until after the fire has been put off, we cannot say if any life was lost to the inferno,” Muhammad said.
