Christian Pyagbara has joined Tunisian Ligue 1 outfit Avenir Sportif de Gabès.
The 22-year-old striker signed a two-year contract with the club on Tuesday.
“I will do my best with Avenir Sportif de Gabès to honour my country and repay the management for their trust in me,” Pyagbara told TheCable after sealing the move.
“They encouraged me a lot to accept the offer.”
The Ligue 1 club were looking for a top striker to strengthen their frontline ahead of their top-flight campaign before they finally reached an agreement with Pyagbara.
“It is a big responsibility that I will represent Nigerian football in Tunisia, but I am ready for this challenge,” Pyagbara said.
The striker, an imposing presence up front, has played for Sharks, Enyimba, Akwa United and Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.
