Daily, we sit back and hope and pray for a new nation.

We pray for the days when the cost and standard of living reduces and poverty has a new name.

We dream of times when we wake up assured that there will be no strikes and our children will graduate at the nick of time.

We wish for days where jobs are made available for every graduate as soon as they leave school.

We wish, we pray, we hope.

How soon will our dreams and wishes come true? We don’t know.

Truth is, they may never.

At least, not in the way we expect them to.

We can create our own experiences. Less than 5% of what we do is controlled by our conscious actions. That goes to say that approximately 96-98% of our behavior is dictated by our subconscious minds.

Thoughts do matter!  They become actions.

We must therefore consciously seek ways to allow our thoughts, hopes and dreams find expression. It is our responsibility to bring them to life!

‘What if we fail?’  Someone says.

Failure is simply feedback. It is learning.

The best learning occurs when we give ourselves over to the learning experience.

When we get curious; when we are willing to suspend judgment- about what is working and what is not-  and just remain open to what might interest us and draw us in. When we no longer stand on the sidelines as spectators.

When we get involved.

Instead of being resistant to the world around you, get conscious about what you are thinking and doing to add value.

Value is what our world needs.

Wake up every day and in the place of just praying and hoping, make an intention to do something that fulfills a need, brings you joy, gives positive energy.

Speak of good. Constant negative talk is a completely mind-numbing mental activity.

It causes stress, anxiety and perpetuates past and future thinking.

Don’t wait for those thoughts to become words.

Catch yourself in the moment of the negative thought and turn it into a positive!

Be clear about what your needs are so you can pursue your passions and your dreams.

Our Nation may never be what you expect it to be. But you still have the capacity to fulfil your dreams in it.

Will you give up?

Change your mindset; change your life.

Remember Freedom is Peace; Optimism is Nature; Action is always within reach. BE MORE!
