‘Thugs of change’, ‘Charly Boy now an enemy of state’ — Twitter reactions to attack on anti-Buhari protesters
Some members of the ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ movement led by Charly Boy were attacked at the Wuse market in Abuja on Tuesday.
The protesters are demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari, who is treating an undisclosed ailment in the UK, either resume office or resign.
As expected, some Nigerians commented on the attack. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.
If you are not looking for trouble how can you go to WUSE MARKET (ABJ) &Protest against President Buhari?

Inasmuch as I STRONGLY CONDEMN the attack on Charly Boy. He shouldn't have gone to Wuse Market for such protest in the first place.

While It's saddening that Charlie & fellow protesters were attacked, they also should av understood that,Politics IS LOCAL. Not Wuse Market.

After the Wuse Market debacle, one is forced to ask, is the #ReturnorResign protest aimed at causing civil unrest and chaos?
— Adeda (@tosinadeda) August 15, 2017
Charly Boy did not apply wisdom and good judgement in going to Wuse market

If Charly Boy thought that going to Wuse Market & getting attacked will buy sympathy, it backfired…. he was doing good at Unity Fountain.
