Chidi Izuwah, director-general of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), is dead.

He was said to have died on Tuesday morning after a protracted illness.

According to an insider at the ICRC, who spoke with TheCable in confidence, the deceased had been receiving medical attention in South Africa since 2020.

Late Izuwah held several senior oil and gas asset management positions in a career spanning over 21 years with Shell Nigeria.

He joined the ICRC as the pioneer executive director of the public-private partnership (PPP) resource department. During this period, the ICRC was declared the African PPP champion for the year 2010.
