Chido Onumah, coordinator, African Centre for Media and Information Literacy (AFRICMIL), will deliver the keynote address at a media and information literacy symposium (MIL) being organised by the University of Ghana, Accra.

The symposium is being held in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In the letter of invitation, Audrey Gadzekpo, dean of the school, said the institution would be delighted to hear his “rich practical as well as theoretical perspectives on MIL”.

Gadzekpo said the purpose of the symposium is to provide platform to discuss issues such as what needs to be done to build a media and information literate society.
