Chief imam abducted in Ondo regains freedom

Ibrahim Oyinlade, the chief imam of Uso community in Owo LGA of Ondo state, has regained his freedom.

The 67-year-old cleric was abducted on his farm at Asolo camp on Saturday afternoon.

A family member who did not want to be named confirmed his release.

The source said the kidnappers contacted the family on Sunday, demanding N10 million in ransom.

“The abductors contacted the family on Sunday and demanded a sum of N10 million but we thank God he has been released,” the family member said.

He also said he could not confirm payment of the ransom to secure Oyinlade’s release.
