‘China boys’ — Ighalo, Mikel — missing from Rohr’s 25-man squad for friendlies

China-based players, John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo, have been excluded from the 25 man squad for upcoming friendly matches against Senegal and Burkina Faso.

Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles technical adviser, released the list of invited players on Wednesday.

Noah Joel Bazee and Tyronne Ebuehi are the new invitees in Rohr’s list.

Others are goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Leon Balogun and William Ekong, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo and forwards Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon.

The Super Eagles will square up against Senegal’s Teranga Lions on Thursday, March 23, before facing the Etalons of Burkina Faso four days later.

Both matches will be played at The Hive, home ground of Barnet Football Club.
