Christmas: Aisha Buhari donates food items to Christians
Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, has donated food items to Christian families at Our Lady Queen of Pro Cathedral Catholic Church of Nigeria, Abuja.
Wole Aboderin, special assistant to the first lady on NGO Matters, who made the presentation on her behalf, said the gesture was borne out of Aisha’s passion to assist the less privileged in the society.
“Christmas is a time to show love to one another because it is an act of kindness to humanity,” she said.
“As we celebrate, let us remember to share our joy with the poor and less privileged. I wish you all happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
John Jimoh, the reverend father who received the items on behalf of the church, expressed gratitude to the first lady for the kind gesture.
He commended her continued support for the less privileged in the society.
The reverend gave the assurance that the items would be well utilised for the benefit of the less privileged members of the church.
