Moses makes cameo as City beat Chelsea to win Community Shield

Nigeria’s Victor Moses had a cameo as Man City edged Chelsea to win the Community Shield at the Wembley Stadium.

The defeat was the third consecutive Shield loss for Chelsea, but for City, it was a fifth title.

A brace from Sergio Aguero was enough to hand the English Premier League (EPL) champions the title.

Pep Guardiola’s men outclassed Chelsea for most of the match, as they moved the ball with intelligence and precision.

David Silva ran the show for the dominant City through out the 90 minutes of play.

Man City had their reward for a neat combination play in the 58th minute with Silva put the ball through to Aguero for a low strike.

The Argentinian has now netted seven goals in his last six appearances against Chelsea.

Super Eagles wingback Moses came on to replace Pedro in the 79th minute.

Moses bungled an opportunity to score from a deflected shot by Tammy Abraham at the dearth.

Man City are the first league champions to win the Community Shield since 2013.
