Confederation Cup: Rivers United in group of death
Rivers United has been drawn in a “group of death” for 2017 Confederation Cup group stages.
The draws took place in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday.
Rivers United, who defeated Rwandan’s Rayon Sports to qualify for the group stages, will face FUS Rabat of Morocco, Club Africain of Tunisia and Kampala CCA of Uganda in Group A.
In Group B, South African side, Platinum Stars will battle MC Alger from Algeria, Mbabane Swallows from Swaziland and Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien.
In Group C, Zambia’s Zesco United will battle Reactivo de Libolo from Angola, Al Hilal Elobeid of Sundan and Egypt’s Smouha.
Supersport United is drawn alongside Horoya AC, C.F from Guinea, CF Mounana of Gabon and TP Mazembe of DR Congo in Group D.
