The federal high court sitting in Jos has denied granting Chris Giwa any order to Chris Giwa to take over the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF).

Citing a court order, Giwa had been involved in a tussle with Amaju Pinnick, president of the federation over the control of the football body.

But speaking in an interview on Monday, Nasiru Gusau, registrar of the court, said Giwa had not been given any order.

“We did not issue any writ of execution on this matter. What you are saying is strange to me,” Gusau said.

“The Giwa people made an application for writ of execution, which the court declined. The court cannot execute a declaratory judgment or an interlocutory order.

“Moreover, if the case is on appeal, how can the high court issue a writ of execution?”
