A federal high court sitting in Lagos has ordered freezing of multiple accounts belonging to Patience Jonathan.

The former first lady had earlier laid claims to $31.4 million seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The order given by the court followed an ex-parte motion filed by Rotimi Oyedepo, the prosecuting counsel.

Oyedepo prayed that the court give an order for the freezing of the accounts to “prevent further tampering.”
