A special offences court in Lagos has revoked the bail of Ayodele Toyosi, an agribusiness promoter, for presenting forged medical report.
Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe, the trial judge, issued the order on Tuesday.
According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Toyosi is the promoter of Reaprite Global Limited and Agrorite Limited
Reaprite is a money saving digital platform while Agrorite deals with agricultural-related business, especially exporting.

The anti-graft agency accused Toyosi of for defrauding some Nigerians in investment scheme in the tune of N600,000,000 and $50,000.
In August 2024, EFCC arraigned Toyos and his two companies on 11-count charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.
“That you, Ayodele Toyosi, Reaprite Global Limited and Agrorite Limited, sometime in June 2023 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, dishonestly converted to your own use the aggregate sum of N200,000,000.00 (Two Hundred Million Naira only) belonging to one K. C. Akoson Investment Limited and Kenneth C. Maduakor by dishonestly representing to them that you will help them transfer the said money to their importers in China whereas you expended the money for your personal use and committed an offence contrary to Sections 278(1) (b) (f) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011,” one of the count charges read.

The investment promoter pleaded not quilty to the charges.
After the arraignment, the court adjourned the case to August 21, 2024 for hearing of the bail application and ordered the remand of the suspect at Ikoyi correctional centre.
The bail application of the suspect was later granted and the case was subsequently adjourned to May 2025.
During the continuation of the trial on May 20, 2025, the anti-graft agency presented a witness, who claimed that he and his family were defrauded in the agribusiness investment scheme.

The trial was adjourned to May 21, 2025 to enable Olalekan Ojo, the defense counsel, to cross examine the witness.
At the resumption of the trial the next day, Toyosi and his counsel did not appear in court on the grounds of medical emergency.
During the court proceedings, Abike-Fadipe issued a bench warrant against the suspect for failing to appear in court for trial.
The trial judge had ordered that the suspect should appear before the court on July 8 to show cause why his bail should not revoked.
