Nigeria recorded 193 new cases of the virus on Thursday, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 5,162. A total of 1,180 persons have recovered while 167 deaths have been recorded.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has apologised to the Kaduna state government for erroneously reporting the number of confirmed cases in the state on Wednesday.

NCDC said the two cases reported, “were repeat tests and therefore, Kaduna had a total of 114 confirmed cases.”
