COVID-19: Nigeria records 98 new infections in three states — but zero deaths
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday reported 98 new COVID-19 infections.
Lagos state has topped the daily coronavirus infection chart with 94 out of the 98 new cases recorded.
This is according to the July 10 COVID update of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The agency said the latest positive samples of COVID-19 were recorded in three states.
Apart from Lagos, Ekiti reported three new infections, and federal capital territory (FCT) recorded one case.
Eight persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the infection, increasing the total number of recoveries to 164,431.
Meanwhile, the agency reported no death from COVID-19 complications on Saturday.
This keeps the total number of coronavirus fatalities in the country at 2,122.
A total of 168,540 coronavirus infections have now been confirmed across Nigeria.
