CSL: Ighalo suffers heavy defeat on Shanghai Shenhua debut

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat on his debut game for Shanghai Shenhua against champions Shanghai SPIG in their first season Chinese Super League clash on Friday at the Hongkou Stadium.

The 29-year old Eagles striker featured for the entire duration of the game.

Ighalo joined Shanghai Shenhua from relegated Changchun Yatai in February.

Shanghai Shenhua conceded an own goal in the 45th minute through former Inter Milan star Freddy Guarin.

Lu Wenjun doubled Shanghai SPIG’s lead in the 65th minute of play.

Former Chelsea forward, Oscar scored the third for the CSL champions in the 78th minute.

Odil Akhmedov completed the thrashing scoring the fourth goal in the 88th minute.
