Dapo Abiodun celebrates Alake of Egbaland on 20th coronation anniversary

Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, has congratulated Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, on his 20th coronation anniversary.

Gbadebo ascended the throne on November 19, 2005.

Abiodun described the milestone as a celebration of purposeful, visionary, and selfless service that has fostered progress, unity, and dignity in Egbaland and across the state.

He said since his coronation, Gbadebo has shown exceptional dedication to peace, cultural preservation, and socio-economic development.

The governor said the monarch has shown consistent support for development initiatives and serves as a source of inspiration for traditional and modern governance structures in the state.

“I join the government and people of Ogun State in congratulating His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo (Okukenu IV), on his 20th anniversary on the throne,” he said.

Abiodun prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, long life, and greater wisdom to sustain his noble service to Egbaland.

“Kabiyesi’s reign has been characterized by grace, compassion, and an unrelenting pursuit of the welfare of his people. His role in fostering communal harmony and supporting our government’s development agenda remains invaluable,” he said.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Ogun State, I congratulate our revered royal father on this remarkable anniversary.”
