Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, has congratulated Kemi Nandap on her appointment as the new comptroller-general of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

In a congratulatory message to Nandap, Abiodun said he is confident that she will bring positive changes to the NIS.

On February 21, President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Nandap as the comptroller-general of the NIS following the retirement of Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, the former CG.

Abiodun described the new comptroller as a dedicated and exemplary leader who has contributed immensely to the public service.

“Throughout your career, you have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and an unwavering passion for ensuring the safety and security of our nation.

“As the comptroller general, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing and overseeing the operations of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

“This is a crucial role that requires a deep understanding of immigration policies, border control, passport issuance, and other related matters.

“I have no doubt that you will excel in this position and bring about positive changes that will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigeria Immigration Service.”

The governor called for a cordial relationship between the state and the NIS, adding that Ogun serves as a unique gateway to other parts of the country.

“As the governor of Ogun state, I look forward to collaborating with you and the Nigeria Immigration Service in addressing the various challenges and opportunities within our state,” he added.
