Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports development, has described late Abba Kyari, chief of staff to Muhammadu Buhari, as a “passionate” person who was a “stabilizing factor of this government.”

Kyari had died after battling with COVID-19 and was buried on Saturday in Abuja, according to Islamic rites.

Dare, in a statement, said: “The death of mallam Abba Kyari is not only a huge loss to Nigeria, his family, Mr. President and this administration, but to those of us that were close to him.

“He was hardworking, trustworthy and passionate about the unity, development and progress of Nigeria.
