Dayo Adeneye, Kennis Music boss, now Ogun commissioner

Dayo Adeneye, co-founder of Kennis Music, was successfully screened as a commissioner for Ogun State fater his nomination by Ibikunle Amosun, governor of the state.

D1, as he is popularly known, took to his social media account after the screening to inform his fans of the treatment he got at the screening on Friday.

“During my screening, Hon Mafe moved the motion and the deputy speaker ruled…’take a bow and go’. To God be the glory,” he said.

Olakunle Oluomo, the deputy speaker, ruled that Adeneye and four others nominated for commissioner by the state governor were all fit for the job at hand.

He revealed that a seven-man ad-hoc committee, which evaluated their curriculum vitae, found them worthy to join the state’s executive council.

Other nominees were Adewale Osinowo, Babajide Odubanjo, Modupe Mujota and Adenrele Adesina.

Adeneye, Abolore Akande (9ice), Kate Henshaw, Desmond Elliot and Tony Tetuila are some of many entertainers who vied for one position or the other.

They all lost the elections with an exception of Elliot, who defeated the incumbent, Kabiru Lawal, for Surulere Constituency 1, Lagos house of representatives seat.
