Dembele beats Yamal to win 2025 FIFA men’s player of the year

Ousmane Dembele has been crowned The Best FIFA men’s player of the year.

The French winger picked up the individual honour ahead of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe and other players during the award ceremony held in Doha on Tuesday night.

Dembele completed the global top individual award double after winning the men’s Ballon d’Or prize in September.

The 28-year-old was stellar for PSG in the 2024/25 season, winning a sensational quadruple of trophies for the club.

He scored 35 goals and recorded 16 assists as PSG won its first-ever UEFA Champions League (UCL) title, alongside French Ligue 1, French Cup, and French Super Cup.

Luis Enrique, PSG manager, was named the men’s best coach, while Gianluigi Donnarumma picked the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper.
