Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina state, was involved in a minor road accident on Sunday evening while travelling along the Daura–Katsina road.
The governor had earlier visited the residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, where he received condolence messages from mourners.
Ibrahim Mohammed, chief press secretary to the governor, confirmed the incident in a statement, assuring that the governor sustained no serious injuries.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” the statement reads.
