DISCLAIMER: Beware of TheCable imitations
The management of Cable Newspaper Limited wants to, once again, alert readers to the existence of websites apparently passing off as TheCable.
The imitation sites, adopting the name “Cable” in various forms and the tag line “Nigerian online newspaper”, are easily mistaken for “TheCable” and “Nigeria’s independent online newspaper” by unsuspecting readers.
Our web address remains www.thecable.ng.
Although we do not dispute the right of any individual or organisation to operate under similar names since no law appears to have been broken, we are worried that many readers have been sharing and re-sharing some stories under the impression that they were published by TheCable.
We, for the umpteenth time, restate our commitment to professionalism in our practice of journalism.
