Alhassan Doguwa, a member of the house of representatives, has accused Sa’adatu Salisu, chairperson of Tudun Wada LGA, of sponsoring attacks on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state.
Speaking in Kano on Friday, Doguwa said Salisu also chairs the state chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON).
The lawmaker said on August 28, suspected thugs invaded Tasarrufi General Enterprise, a factory in Tudun Wada, injuring workers who are mainly APC members.
The lawmaker, who represents Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency, claimed that members of the APC in the state have also been subjected to separate attacks.

“This is barbaric and unacceptable. No one, no matter how highly placed, is above the law. We cannot continue to condone acts that put the lives of our people and the stability of our democracy at risk,” Doguwa said.
Speaking with TheCable on Friday night, Haruna Abdullahi, Kano police spokesperson, said the command is investigating the alleged attacks.
“The victims, including the APC chairman of Tudun Wada, lodged complaints, alleging that the chairman of the LGA attacked them with thugs. An invitation has been extended to her, with the invitation ongoing,” Abdullahi said.
