Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump has urged terminally ill people to stay alive long enough to vote for him in the US presidential election next month.

Speaking at a rally in Nevada, the Republican nominee said: “I don’t care how sick you are. I don’t care if you just came back from the doctor and he gave you the worst possible prognosis, meaning it’s over. Doesn’t matter. Hang out till November 8. Get out and vote.”

“I say kiddingly, but I mean it.”

He also reassured dying people that after they are gone, “All we’re going to say is: ‘We love you and we will remember you always’”.

It is clear that Trump was hitting out at Hillary Clinton, his rival, who was diagnosed with Pneumonia last month.

Clinton, who was rushed out of a September 9 memorial event, had to be assisted into her vehicle.

The incident raised concerns about her health, and her capability of taking the world’s toughest job.

However, she has been managed to put that ugly chapter behind.

Results of polls conducted show Clinton taking the lead.

On Wednesday, a new Ispos-Reuters poll put Clinton six per cent ahead of Trump, one point higher than a CNN-ORC survey released on Tuesday.

In several swing states she is believed to have overtaken him.

Trump’s campaign has been suffering setbacks, but the biggest in recent times was the release of records which showed he might have evaded tax in the last 18 years.
