Bloody Civilian, the Nigerian singer, has come through with ‘Head Start,’ her highly anticipated single.

The songwriter announced the release of the self-produced song on Friday.

Civilian takes a hit at naysayers in the less than four-minute track. She adds that her “enemies” are scared of her success and that their criticism will not get to her.

“I don’t need you to tell me that I’m special/ None of you can penetrate my mental/ You people better pay me for the head start/ Success/Shey you fit to/ Enemies dey shake, shake woo/You go think say they be dancers/ Congratulations,” she sings.

“You’re the best dancers, ayy/ My enemies dey shake, shake/ You go think say they be dancers/ Congratulations/ You’re the best dancers, ayy/ Yeah/ Enemies dey shake, shake.”

‘Head Start’ comes on the back of the success of last year’s ‘Anger Management’ EP.

Born Emoseh Khamofu, Civilian is also a producer signed with Def Jam Recordings/0207 Def Jam UK.

Her brilliance is relatively obscure to the wider Nigerian audience. The Abuja-born 25-year-old was one of the few Nigerian artistes enlisted in the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ album.

Her debut single ‘How To Kill A Man’ garnered a massive reception after its release.
