D’Tigress have qualified for the semi-final of the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket in Cote d’Ivoire.

The team defeated Cameroon 83-47 in the quarter-final game on Thursday at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan.

The victory continued Nigeria’s streak of six consecutive semi-final appearances in the competition. D’Tigress have not fallen short of reaching the Women’s Afrobasket semi-final since 2013.

The Nigerians were in their best form when the game tipped off against the Cameroonians, and they laid down the marker early.
