Turkish side Bursaspor have announced the signing of Nigerian defender William Ekong-Troost from KAA Gent on a three-year deal.
The Nigerian completed the €2 million move to Bursaspor after successfully passing a medical.
Bursaspor, in a statement, said: “Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong and his club in Belgium KAA Gent have agreed in principle and the player will sign a three-year contract after health check.”
The 23-year-old bade farewell to fans of his former club via a Twitter post.
William Ekong-Troost signed for Gent in July 2015 and was immediately shipped out on loan to Norwegian club FK Haugesund.
Ekong-Troost becomes Paul Le Guen’s second signing of the transfer window.
