Residents of the federal capital territory are to enjoy free rides within the city between September 9 and September 10, as Easy Taxi Nigeria, an on-demand taxi service that operates through the use of a free mobile app, rewards its users.

Established in July 2013, Easy Taxi has a network of independent registered drivers who convey passengers in a smooth, easy and safe way.

Bankole Cardoso, managing director of the organisation, said the free ride offer is a measure of appreciating clients who have been very supportive all along.

“This offer is open only to users of the Easy Taxi application and valid for commuting within the city between the hours of 7am on September 9 and 11.59pm on September 11, 2014,” he said.

“The distances to cover include Abuja main district, Lugbe and Kubwa.

“To be able to enjoy this offer, you have to download the Easy Taxi application on your smartphone, sign up if you are a new user, put in your location and destination details and make a request. The process is fast and easy, giving a prospective rider an opportunity to get a taxi ride at the click of a button.

“We have been in this city for a while now. Since we signed up our first driver and launched our service here in Abuja, the response and reception has been nothing short of fantastic. What better way can we show appreciation than give our users free rides and also give prospective riders the opportunity to experience the benefits of using the application?”

Encouraging residents to utilise the opportunity, the organisation assured willing clients of the opportunity to experience safe commuting without harboring the doubts and fears, which usually come with unpredictable weather and environment.

Easy taxi Nigeria plans to extend its services to other cities in the country in the nearest future.
